The Academic Operations Coordinator – Scheduling is responsible for supporting the University’s quarterly course schedules, campuses, and central service departments in multiple areas to help ensure compliance and accurate data for course scheduling in Academic Affairs. Minimum expectations for all Academic Operations Coordinators include focus on the following areas:
Course scheduling.
Administration of University Scheduling Systems.
Responsibilities:
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following tasks, duties, and responsibilities consistent with the function. The employee is expected to perform all other duties as requested, directed, and/or assigned.
Course Scheduling
Evaluate course schedule in Student Information System for appropriate number of sections based on enrollment trends and projections. During evaluation work to delete or add course sections as needed before term scheduling begins.
Track daily enrollments for schedule adjustments, and tracking section size prior to start and through add/drop.
Ensure campus scheduling template is complete prior to upcoming quarter scheduling tasks.
Work in partnership with Nursing Deans and Associate Deans to establish meeting times and locations for on campus courses.
Collaborate daily with all stakeholders in the scheduling process to ensure master scheduling template is accurate.
Assess Course Set -up report and address any errors consulting with Nursing Deans/Associate Deans as needed.
Assess course size throughout the quarter to determine section cuts/low enrollment sections and communicate to stakeholders of any deleted/added sections needed.
Administration of University’s Scheduling Systems
Serve as point of contact for any schedule change needing to be made in the Student Information System outside of regular upload cadence with regards to meeting times and instructors.
Delete sections out of Student Information System
Communicate to Registrar’s office for any new meeting time needed for on campus courses.
Address errors in Course Set-up in Student Information System to ensure data accuracy.
Create and export reports from Student Information System/Faculty Management Database for Academic Leadership as needed.
Create and export reports from Student Information System/Faculty Management Database for course scheduling to evaluate enrollment trends to assist in accurate projections for future quarters.
Manage multiple Microsoft Excel data files and serve as support for those files where errors/issues arise.
Prepare data uploads files in Microsoft Excel for mass data entry into the database (ex: Residential schedule uploads).
Writing Lab Tutor - Part Time

Rasmussen University is seeking a detail-oriented, student-focused Writing Lab Consultant to support the academic success of our diverse student population. This part-time remote adjunct position consists of 20 hours per week and involves reviewing student writing submissions by providing timely, constructive, and engaging feedback to help students improve their writing, critical thinking, and academic integrity; committing to a flexible weekly schedule of 1:1 synchronous writing consultation support for Graduate-level students; and supporting other duties within the Writing Lab.
The Writing Lab Tutor is responsible for supporting graduate students in the development of strong academic writing, critical thinking, and scholarly communication skills. This role provides timely, constructive, and engaging feedback on student writing submissions while fostering student success and academic integrity.
In addition to reviewing written work, the Writing Lab Tutor maintains a flexible schedule to provide one-on-one synchronous writing consultations for graduate-level students, offering individualized guidance and support throughout the writing process. This position also contributes to the overall success of the Writing Lab through collaboration, resource development, and other departmental initiatives as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Review and respond to student paper submissions through the university’s online Writing Lab and queue coverage.
Provide clear, encouraging, and actionable written feedback on grammar, organization, thesis development, APA formatting, content clarity, and other related writing aspects.
Guide students toward stronger academic writing skills while maintaining a supportive and non-evaluative tone.
Use provided rubrics and feedback models to ensure consistency in responses.
Work directly with the Writing Lab Manager to align expectations, best practices, and quality standards for student feedback.
Collaborate with Writing Lab team members and participate in ongoing training and quality assurance processes.
Meet turnaround times for paper reviews, typically within 24-48 hours of submission.
Maintain accurate records of reviewed submissions and follow institutional protocols for communication.
Commit to a flexible weekly schedule of 1:1 synchronous writing consultation support for Graduate-level students.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Reporting Relationships:
The Writing Lab Consultant reports directly to the Writing Lab Manager. This is a non-supervisory role, though the Writing Lab Consultant works collaboratively with full-time and part-time Work Study staff in Library and Learning Services to ensure the quality of writing instruction across departmental modalities.
Temporary Financial Aid Advisor

The Financial Aid Advisor is the primary point of contact for students, staff, and external parties who contact the Student Financial Aid Office, providing exceptional customer service with a focus on single-source service. This role implements the policies and procedures of the office and disseminates financial aid and related information to clientele by multiple mediums (e.g. phone, email and chat) and serves as a bridge between other departments, most notably Admissions and Advising. This role conducts consistent and frequent outreach to financial aid applicants in an effort to secure eligibility documentation.
Responsibilities:
Financial Aid Advising - 60%
Provide students and staff alike with a positive, responsive experience, including personal attention and knowledgeable guidance through the financial aid process.
Provide exceptional customer service via multiple communication mediums (e.g. phone, email, chat), with a focus on single-source service and by adhering to pre-defined service standards.
Obtain and maintain current knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations for a variety of aid programs and the ability to apply this information to problem resolution.
Provide problem resolution or escalate highly unique or complex issues to a Financial Aid Manager, as appropriate.
Conduct consistent and frequent outreach to students via telephone, email and text in an effort to secure financial aid eligibility documentation.
Record Keeping - 30%
Accurately document all student-related interactions in student information system and provide appropriate and timely financial aid responses.
Maintain eligibility to access the National Student Loan Data System, (NSLDS), as defined by the US Department of Education. Essentially, to maintain access to NSLDS, one must not have defaulted on any student loan in the past, currently be in default or otherwise negatively impact access to NSLDS.
Scan and upload necessary documentation and complete data entry support to the Financial Aid Processing and Awarding Unit.
Other - 10%
Attend and participate in team, SFA department meetings for the purpose of obtaining and sharing information.
Participate in lean processes and strategic planning activities.

Perform other duties as directed, requested or assigned.

Reporting Relationship:
The Financial Aid Advisor reports to the Manager, Financial Aid Advising and Outreach. This role does not have direct reports.
Position Requirements:
Associate's Degree Required. Specialization in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field.
