Mariott Hotels is looking for a Sales Force Task Specialist. This is a part-time temporary job.
JOB SUMMARY
Provides sales support to sales organizations, as well as individual hotels. Serves a bench function to account for staffing changes resulting from turnover, leaves of absence, or extended vacation leave for property sales managers, and sales executives.  Supports sales for new hotel openings, renovation and repositioning and sales support for priority hotels identified by the regional team. Drives customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.  Â
Education and ExperienceÂ
Required:Â
High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area.Â
                                                   ORÂ
2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area. Â
What this role actually does:
Think of this position as a high-level "relief pitcher" for the sales team. You aren’t tied to just one desk; you go where the action (or the need) is.
Filling the Gaps: When a sales manager at a hotel leaves, goes on vacation, or takes a leave of absence, you step in so the business doesn't skip a beat.
Special Projects: You’re the "heavy hitter" brought in for the big stuff—like opening a brand-new hotel, managing sales during a massive renovation, or helping a struggling property get back on its feet.
Extra Help: You provide backup support to the regional sales teams and individual hotels whenever they have more work than they can handle.
Keeping Guests Happy: At the end of the day, your goal is to make sure every customer has a great experience so they keep coming back.
In short: You’re the flexible, expert backup who keeps the hotel's sales moving forward, no matter what’s changing behind the scenes.
