Many large employers use applicant tracking systems, or ATS software, to help organize and screen applications. You can't guarantee that a resume will get through by adding keywords, but you can make it easier for recruiters and screening systems to recognize your relevant experience.
For this position, start by using truthful keywords that match the job description.
Some important ones include:
Data entry and data accuracy
Data validation and data reconciliation
Excel and spreadsheet reporting
Logistics and transportation
Supply chain operations
Import and export documentation
Recordkeeping and audit readiness
Discrepancy resolution
Deadline management
Quality control and process improvement
If you have customs experience, you can also include terms such as customs compliance, customs documentation, duty drawback, and import/export operations, but only if they accurately describe your knowledge or experience.
Here's a tip: don't just put a list of keywords at the bottom of your resume. Show how you've actually used those skills.
For example, instead of saying, "Responsible for data entry," you could write:
"Entered and verified customer and order information, maintained accurate records, and resolved data discrepancies while meeting daily deadlines."
