Need a Work-From-Home Job Fast? These Companies Are Worth Checking Out


If you’re a mom looking for a work-from-home job and you don’t want to spend weeks filling out applications and waiting around, there are quite a few companies worth checking out. The companies below are primarily BPO and customer-service employers that regularly hire remote workers for customer support, healthcare support, tech support, and similar positions. Many have entry-level openings, and several offer paid training or provide the equipment you need to get started.


One important thing to keep in mind: “remote” doesn’t necessarily mean you can work from anywhere. Many of these positions are U.S.-only, while others have openings tied to specific states. Equipment also varies by position, so always read the individual job posting before assuming a computer, monitor, or headset will be provided.


A Quick Tip Before You Apply


If you’re trying to get hired quickly, apply to several companies rather than putting all your hopes into one application. Start with the companies that match your experience, location, schedule, and equipment situation.


And remember, job listings change. A position that is available today may be gone tomorrow, and equipment or state requirements can vary from one posting to another.


Remember: Not all job are for all work-at-home situations. Some positions and companies require no distractions, others are less stringent.

As a 1099 contractor, you’re essentially self-employed. You generally won’t receive employee benefits or traditional paid training, and you’re responsible for your own equipment, internet, and taxes. These opportunities also require U.S. work authorization.


Liveops


Liveops requires a self-funded background check that costs approximately $25-$35, and you need your own equipment. Pay is based on talk time.
