Meg's Story: Introverts Can Work From Home

When I first heard of Megan or "Meg the Creator" as she's known online, I was intrigued right away. Someone who teaches introverts how to make money from home? I loved it. I'm an introvert and love meeting people who prefer to just stay home.

Here's Meg's story about how she went from being a virtual assistant and social media manager to killing it online all while being her introverted self.

Hi! I’m Megan.

I’m a small-town, introverted mom of two who paid off over $60K in debt without a degree, without going viral, and without showing up every day on social media.

A few years ago, I was working as a social media manager while juggling mom life and constantly feeling behind. I didn’t come from money. I didn’t have fancy credentials.

But I knew one thing: I was tired of surviving, and I wanted more for my family. I tried a little bit of everything to make ends meet... affiliate links, Amazon reviews, UGC gigs, creating content for brands... and slowly but surely, things started to shift.

I’ll never forget the week I made $1k a month from my phone. It wasn’t some flashy five-figure launch but it was enough to change everything. That was grocery money. That was hope. That was proof that this worked. And that moment (and 100 more like it)... led me here.

I’m a full-time content creator and mentor, helping other moms (especially introverted ones) build income online in a way that feels doable, low-pressure, and aligned. I paid off my debt and create multiple income streams of income without making myself stressed out.

I teach other moms exactly how to do the same whether it’s through Amazon Onsite Commissions, UGC (User Generated Content) or TikTok Shop.

I asked Megan a few questions:

How did you get into social media management?

It honestly fell in my lap but I was a virtual assistant in 2020 and the client I was working with asked if I could manage their social media. I was like yes! And then after that it just blew up way more than I could have expected!

What's the one piece of advice that has made the biggest difference in your life?

Not really 'advice' but my dad didn't like when I would say "I can't do something" when I was younger.. because he knew I could if I tried hard enough and if I believed I could. And that is advice that I tell my students because you really can do it you just have to believe you can and really apply yourself.

What's one thing you wish moms knew about making money from home?

It doesn't have to be complicated and you don't have to take the same path someone else took. In most cases you may try a few things and then find that a mix of things work best for you. Also, do not compare your journey to someone else's, everyone's is different.

What has been your most exciting win so far?

My most exciting win has definitely been when I landed brand deals with big brands that I never thought I would work with!

What would you tell yourself two years ago?

To quit working with that really toxic client and pursue your dreams on social media right then!
