We're getting real with Megan Spencer! She told us her favorite snacks, her fave latte, apps she can't live without, and how she went from stressed about paying bills to making six figures creating content for brands.

What does life look like for a UGC mom? Well, first, you're probably asking, "What’s UGC?" It stands for User Generated Content. Basically, moms create Instagram Reels and TikToks for brands that need them.

It’s not about making super polished, fancy content in aesthetic houses. That’s influencer stuff. This is for brands that want regular people talking about their products. And they don’t need you to post it on your main profiles. UGC moms usually create new accounts just for this work.

Megan Spencer created the Anti-Influencer Method. It’s a course and mentorship program for moms who don’t want to become traditional influencers who share their lives, their kids, and everything else. It’s for moms who are often introverted, want behind-the-scenes income, and are ready to try something new.

Her course has three tracks. UGC is the first one. She’s been working for herself since 2020 and works directly with companies that trust her to find moms who can create content. One tea company even hired many UGC moms through her program to promote their new drinks.

Virtual Assisting is the second track. This is for moms who hate the idea of being on camera, who are organized, and enjoy helping people. Megan did this from home for years, so she knows what it takes to get clients, market yourself, and stay organized while helping business owners manage their inboxes, calendars, and social media.

The third track is becoming an Amazon Influencer. Megan explored this as well while looking for the best income stream. One mom in the group has made $60,000 doing this. You simply review products, and Amazon uses your videos.

The Anti-Influencer Method allows you to learn one or all of these paths. There’s even a quiz designed to help you decide which one is the best fit for you.

Every day, Megan helps thousands of moms who never thought they could earn a full-time income from home and still be present with their families do exactly that.

Here’s our interview with work-at-home mom expert, Megan Spencer:

1. What's something that you wish every mom who wants to work at home knew?

You do not have to become an influencer to make a livable income online. I wish someone had told me that years ago. There are so many opportunities that don't require any followers, selling items, or sharing your entire life online. Brands need content creators, not celebrities. You can build real income quietly, behind the scenes, and around your family's schedule.

2. What would you tell a mom who is afraid to jump into UGC?

You're probably more qualified than you think. Brands aren't looking for perfect creators. They're looking for real people who can explain a product naturally. If you can text a friend about something you love, you can create UGC. Don't wait until you're confident. Confidence comes after you start.

3. What's the most inspirational story of a UGC mom you know?

Honestly, there are so many, but one that always sticks with me is Andrea. She went from being completely burned out, juggling a demanding job and wondering if UGC could actually work, to making over $16,000 in just six months creating content for brands. She didn't have a huge following. She didn't have years of experience. She simply followed a system, stayed consistent, and built a business that gave her more freedom.

I love stories like hers because they remind moms that this isn't just for influencers. It's for ordinary women who are willing to learn a new skill.

4. What's your favorite drink?

Iced coffee. Always. If we're being specific... an iced honey and lavender latte! There is a local coffee shop where I live that makes it the best. Otherwise, I love a good Poppi or water. : )

5. Absolute favorite food?

Sushi hands down! I love japanese food in general but sushi is something my husband and I get every Friday. Its a tradition! And if we go out of town, we always have to try a new sushi place!

6. Favorite snack?

Hmm... either popcorn or dry cereal haha!

7. Favorite iPhone apps that help you with work?

  • CapCut (video editing)

  • ChatGPT (personal brainstorming)

  • Claude (business support, marketing and copywriting)

  • Canva (graphics and PDFs)

  • Notes (where 90% of my content ideas start)

  • Instagram, FB, Youtube and TikTok (marketing and posting)

8. Favorite websites that help you with work?

  • Skool - to run the AIM community

  • ChatGPT and Claude - brainstorming for business ideas

  • GoHighLevel - emails, funnels, automations

  • Canva - graphic design, editing and more

  • Google Docs/Drive/Gmail - customer support

  • YouTube- learning and researching

Megan just put out a new video that describes what her life was like before UGC and how she started. A lot of people talk about where they were, but few talk about how they got there. She breaks it all down.
