Company background: Their extensive network, comprising over 1,400 members across six continents and over 100 countries, unites aquariums, zoos, universities, research institutions, and governmental bodies.
Together, they tackle pressing wildlife challenges, establishing best practices in husbandry, enrichment, medical care, welfare, reproduction, population management, and biodiversity.
They create and manages software that helps teams track and care for animals and plants in a thoughtful, informed way.
The data their members collect helps improve animal care and also supports research that benefits conservation efforts worldwide. This role is a great fit for someone who truly cares about animals, the environment, and making a real impact, and wants to turn that passion into meaningful work.
They are currently looking for a part-time Marketing Coordinator to help share their story and highlight the amazing work their members are doing. This includes writing blog posts, creating simple and engaging social media content, sharing member success stories, and helping keep the website updated.
You would also work closely with the team, keep an eye on how content is performing, and stay up to date on trends in marketing and conservation. It is a fully remote role based in the United States, and it is a great opportunity to be part of something that truly makes a difference.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Content Creation (Blogs)
Research, write, and edit engaging and informative blog posts on topics related to animal conservation, wildlife management, Species360 initiatives, ZIMS, the Species360 Conservation Science Alliance and the Species Conservation Toolkit Initiative (SCTI).
2. Member and Customer Success Stories
Develop compelling written and potentially multimedia case studies and success stories showcasing the achievements and impact of Species360 member institutions, SCTI users, and partners.
Conduct interviews, gather data, and craft narratives that resonate with our audience.
3. Social Media Support
Create engaging and timely content for the Species360 social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram).
Write posts, source or create visuals (with support), schedule content, and engage with followers.
4. Website Support
Assist with updates and content management on the Species360 website, including creating and editing web pages and blog posts, updating resources, and ensuring content is accurate and aligned with brand messaging.
5. Collaboration
Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team, as well as other departments, to ensure content aligns with overall marketing strategies and organizational goals.
6. Performance Monitoring
Track and analyze the performance of content to identify areas for improvement and optimize future content strategies.
7. Stay Informed
Keep abreast of industry trends in marketing, conservation, and the zoo and aquarium community.

COMPENSATION
The US compensation range for this non-exempt part-time position is $25.00 - $28.00 per hour based on experience.
OUR US BENEFITS
We offer generous time off benefits to full-time and part-time employees (working 20 hours or more), combining holidays and vacation into one Paid Time Off benefit for maximum employee flexibility.
