What is David's Diary:

David’s Diary, a new Christian middle grade series for kids is out today. The first two books, The Summer Camp Disaster and The Science Fair Sabotage, are officially here. I wrote these books for kids who love Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Dog Man, but who also love Jesus.

This series follows David Jesse King, a fun, Jesus-loving fourth grader who gets into a little trouble sometimes but really wants to do what’s right. He and his best friend Nate navigate summer camp, youth group, school, and friendship together.

Nate is quiet, reserved, but wise and loving. He hates scratchy clothes, touching foods, new situations, but is getting braver and speaking up more by the day!

The books are written like a diary with cute illustrations, lists, letters, and memory verses sprinkled throughout.

David can be a little impulsive and has big emotions, but we see him learn to take it to God first and that there's nothing wrong with asking for forgiveness and help.

The message is that with God, all things are possible.

Oh I love this. The diary entry format is so cool and intriguing! As a neurodivergent mom (late diagnosis as an adult) parenting a neurodivergent son, who book love reading, I would love to get a chance to read this! :)
